Is AutoPay safe to use with my bank account? ↓
Yes. AutoPay never stores your internet banking password or PIN. We use Paystack (CBN-licensed) to execute payments, and Mono for read-only balance checks. Your bank credentials never touch our servers. All stored data is AES-256 encrypted.
Does money leave my account when I schedule a payment? ↓
No. Scheduling a payment only gives AutoPay permission to debit you on the due date — nothing is charged today. A ₦50 mandate verification fee is charged when you first authorise a schedule, which confirms your account is valid. The actual payment only executes on the date you chose.
Which banks does AutoPay support? ↓
AutoPay supports all major Nigerian banks including GTBank, Access Bank, UBA, Zenith Bank, First Bank, Kuda, OPay, Stanbic IBTC, Wema, and many more. We load the full bank list live from Paystack's API, so any bank Paystack supports, we support.
What happens if a payment fails? ↓
You'll be notified immediately via push and email. AutoPay automatically retries after 24 hours, then again after another 24 hours. If both retries fail, your schedule is paused and we'll walk you through resolving it. Nothing fails silently.
Can I cancel a scheduled payment? ↓
Yes, any time before the payment executes. Just go to your dashboard, tap the payment card, and cancel. Once a payment has been executed, it cannot be reversed through AutoPay — you'd need to contact your bank or the recipient directly.
Is AutoPay free during beta? ↓
Yes — plus the first 50 users get 3 months of the Personal plan free when paid plans launch. The only charge during beta is the ₦50 mandate verification fee per schedule, which goes to Paystack as part of their direct debit authorisation process.
AutoPay isn't CAC-registered yet — should I be concerned? ↓
We're in the process of registering with the CAC, which typically takes 2–4 weeks. For the beta, all actual payment processing is handled exclusively by Paystack — a fully CBN-licensed payment service provider. AutoPay is an orchestration layer, not a financial institution, so CAC registration is an operational milestone rather than a licensing requirement for the beta.
